Anike's new self-titled LP is a powerful journey of surrender, restoration, and breakthrough. Over the past four years, she has faced numerous challenges that tested her resolve both personally and as an artist. Confronting deep-seated insecurities and severe physical manifestations of stress and anxiety, Anike has emerged stronger and more inspired.

During this transformative period, she announced a name change from “Wande” to “Anike,” short for Ireoluwa-Anike a Yoruba name meaning "The goodness of God, we have something to cherish, care for, love, and not take for granted."

“As part of a spiritual journey and commitment to living authentically in alignment with my Christian faith, I have changed my name from Wande to Anike. This change is deeply meaningful to me, reflecting a departure from my old legal names, Mutiat and Yewande, which carried significance not aligned with my faith such as reincarnation, and devotion to other gods. It serves as a reminder of my inherent worth, cherished by my Creator, and this affirmation is something I wish to echo through my music and interactions."

In her sophomore LP, Anike expands her sound, pushing the boundaries of female Christian rap. With influences spanning R&B, pop, gospel, and even afrobeat, Anike proves there are no limits to her creativity. Her meaningful lyrical themes of renewal and life with God are consistent throughout, with tracks like opener “MAKE ME NEW” featuring Gospel music’s Jekalyn Carr, the motivational upbeat “MOVE,” and smoother tracks like “DESIRES,” “GRAVITY,” and “SHOW ME LOVE” bring a smooth, slower balance to round out the tracklist.

Focus track “YAHWEH” brings praise and pep over a Jersey beat featuring Porsha Love, a follow up to their 2021 single “Don’t Worry Bout It.”

The album includes familiar voices such as label-mates Hulvey, Lecrae, WHATUPRG, and Limoblaze, along with fresh collaborators like Terrain, Lee Vasi, and DOE. As the first female Christian rapper to tour with icons like Lecrae and collaborate with artists like TobyMac, Anike has been a groundbreaking presence in the industry. She has been featured on GRAMMY-nominated projects and Billboard's #1 album "The Mav Way," and her contributions have been recognized by influential figures like Michelle Obama and Kirk Franklin.
